| Controversy | Shiva Rajkumar against dubbing and remake In 2014, Shiva Rajkumar along with Darshan, Sudeep, Puneeth Rajkumar, Ravichandran, Duniya Vijaya and Jaggesh, condemned the proposal of introducing voice-dubbed films in the Kannada cinemas. In an interview, Rajkumar talked about the issue and requested Madras to stop dubbing films into Kannada to let the industry grow. During the same discussion, Shiva said, I have a very positive attitude in life. It’s very important to know what we can do for society not vice versa. I was born and brought up in Chennai. We were supposed to learn Tamil in school. I still speak in Tamil with my close friends there. We were there because all the film industries depended upon Chennai for post production. We should be friendly with everyone. But mother tongue comes first. When all language films are being released here why do you want dubbed films? That’s my grouse. - Shiva Rajkumar, an Indian actor, film producer, and television presenter, is predominantly seen in Kannada films and television programs. He gained recognition for portraying the main character in the Kannada movie Vedha (2022).
- The eldest son of the renowned actor, Dr. Rajkumar, who made a name for himself in Kannada films, has accomplished notable achievements. Dr. Rajkumar was bestowed with the esteemed Padma Bhushan award in 1983 and received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards in 1995.
- Shiva, who had a passion for acting from a young age, began his acting career in 1974 as a child artist in the Kannada-language Hindu mythological film Sri Srinivasa Kalyana. In the film, he portrayed the character of Master Puttaswamy.
