Some Lesser Known Facts About Priyanka Gandhi

During her childhood, she cultivated a passion for books about Indian Independence as well as Hindi stories and poems. To this day, she indulges in this cherished hobby.

At the age of 16 or 17, she gave her inaugural political speech.

Maneka Gandhi, the aunt of Priyanka, is a prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has served as a Union Minister in the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Similarly, her cousin Varun Gandhi is also a BJP politician and has represented the Sultanpur constituency as a Member of Parliament (M.P.).

Until 2019, she refrained from engaging in active politics, but frequently campaigned for her brother and mother in their respective constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli. As a result, her involvement in the political arena has always been ambiguous.

During a 1999 interview with BBC, Priyanka expressed her clear stance by stating, “Politics does not strongly attract me, yet I am capable of making a positive impact without being involved in politics.”
