• The customs department seized his imported wrist watches: On 16 November 2021, Pandya took to social media to dismiss reports of custom officials at Mumbai airport seizing his luxury watches. The cricketer refuted reports that claimed that the customs department had sized his two wrist watches worth Rs. 5 crore. Reportedly, the customs officials found that the price of the watches, as per bills submitted, didn’t match the actual value. - Hardik Pandya comes from a humble family background. In a photo from his childhood, he can be seen standing alongside his father, Himanshu Pandya.
- His father’s passion for cricket was unwavering. Throughout his childhood, his father would take him to watch matches in Baroda, igniting his own interest in the sport.
- At the age of five, he relocated with his family from Choryasi, Surat to Gorwa, Baroda. He was then admitted to the Kiran More International Academy in Baroda, where his seven-year-old brother, Krunal Pandya, also joined him.
