  • Dhirubhai Ambani did not smoke.
  • Dhirubhai Ambani did not consume alcohol.
  • He entered this world in Chorwad, a city in Junagadh, to Jamnaben and Hirachand Gordhanbhai, belonging to a Modh Family. He happened to be the second child of his parents.
  • The profession of his father was that of a school teacher.
  • His journey as an entrepreneur commenced with the sale of chaat-pakoda to pilgrims in Mount Girnar.
  • After completing the 10th standard, he discontinued his studies.
  • In 1955, at the age of 16, he relocated to Aden, Yemen in order to join his older brother Ramniklal, who was employed there at the time.
  • The first position he held in Aden was as a gas station attendant.
