- Dhirubhai Ambani did not smoke.
- Dhirubhai Ambani did not consume alcohol.
- He entered this world in Chorwad, a city in Junagadh, to Jamnaben and Hirachand Gordhanbhai, belonging to a Modh Family. He happened to be the second child of his parents.
- The profession of his father was that of a school teacher.
- His journey as an entrepreneur commenced with the sale of chaat-pakoda to pilgrims in Mount Girnar.
- After completing the 10th standard, he discontinued his studies.
- In 1955, at the age of 16, he relocated to Aden, Yemen in order to join his older brother Ramniklal, who was employed there at the time.
