Some Lesser Known Facts About Sreejita De

In 2017, Sreejita, an Indian actress and model, gained recognition for her portrayal of Mukta’s main character in the Colors television show Uttaran. A still from the TV series Uttaran (2017) features Sreejita in a captivating scene.

Sreejita initially aspired to become a journalist, but a friend suggested she try her hand at acting. Following this advice, she auditioned for a small role in the Hindi TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay and was promptly chosen. In an interview, Sreejita reflected on this opportunity, stating that it occurred when she was just 18 and studying at Mumbai’s Ruia College. Although she wasn’t particularly passionate about acting, she had a deep love for dancing. One day, while conversing with a friend, they mentioned an audition at Balaji. Intrigued, she decided to give acting a chance. From that moment onward, she never looked back. Sreejita made the firm decision to pursue acting as her career and has not regretted it since.
Initially, Sreejita’s father had doubts about her choice to pursue a career in acting. However, upon witnessing her achievements, he became pleased with her decision.

Sreejita made her acting debut at the age of seventeen in the episodic series Ssshhhh… Phir Koi Hai (2006).
