- In India, Prabhu Deva is renowned for his talents in choreography, directing, producing, and acting.
- At a tender age, Prabhu found his passion for dancing as he was greatly influenced by his father, who earned the prestigious National Award for choreography in 1994.
- He has acquired extensive knowledge and skill in the Indian classical dance styles, particularly Bharatanatyam, under the tutelage of Dharmaraj and Udupi Lakshminarayanan. Furthermore, he has also received training in various western dance forms.
- He made his stage debut at the tender age of 11.
- At the age of 16, he assumed the responsibility of choreographing the renowned actor Kamal Hassan for the film Vetri Vizha (1989).
