- After a brief six-year tenure in the Indian Army, Gaurav Arya retired as a Major in 1999 due to medical reasons. Currently, he is recognized as a writer, a public speaker, and holds the position of senior consulting editor of strategic affairs at Republic Media Network.
- Gaurav Arya, raised in a disciplined and patriotic atmosphere as the son of an IPS officer, developed a deep admiration for the Indian armed forces from an early age. A delightful childhood photograph of Gaurav Arya at the tender age of three perfectly encapsulates his connection to the military.
- Gaurav Arya successfully graduated and passed the SSB exam, securing a position as a Second Lieutenant in the Indian Army. He was assigned to the 57th Short Service Commission (non-technical) batch. During that period, recruits who joined the army through Short Service Commission served for a total of five years initially, followed by an extension of five years, and then a final four-year term. Gaurav Arya’s name was listed in the 1992 SSB final results.
- Gaurav Arya received his training at the Officer’s Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, supervised by the Jessami Company. Once he completed his military training, Gaurav commenced his career in the Indian armed forces as a second-lieutenant in the 17th battalion of the Kumaon Regiment. The letter received praise from various influential individuals in India, including the then serving Army General. As a result, he was invited to appear on numerous popular news channels and quickly became a recognizable figure in India. His blogs gained a substantial readership and he received invitations to speak at prestigious institutions.
- He held the position of president at Smart Group, a real estate corporate firm, in 2017 when he received a request from Arnab Goswami, a journalist at that time with Times Now, to join his new venture, Republic TV Network. In March 2017, he became the Senior Consulting Editor of Strategic Affairs at Republic TV Network. He currently hosts two shows on the channel, namely Patriot and Blitzkrieg.
