  • During a conversation on the RCB podcast in March 2023, he candidly shared his experience coping with the loss of his sister in April 2022 and the birth of his son just a week later. Reflecting on this challenging time, he revealed that following his sister’s passing on April 9, 2022, he found himself grieving for an entire week while also being in quarantine and unable to physically be with his loved ones. Despite the distance, he made sure to stay connected with his niece, nephew, and everyone back home through phone calls but couldn’t help but long to embrace them and mourn together. The limitations of remote communication were difficult to bear. Then, unexpectedly, his son was born after seven days, bringing joy into his life but also intensifying his feelings of grief. This emotional contradiction left him feeling numb for about a week, maybe even ten days, as he was caught up in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. He admitted that there were moments when he would shed tears multiple times a day in the privacy of his room, yet the sight of his son on FaceTime would instantly fill him with immense happiness. Coping with such contrasting emotions on a constant basis was undeniably draining and exhausting.
