• Urvashi Dholakia was born into a Hindu family, with a Punjabi mother and Gujarati father. During her childhood, she can be seen in an image accompanied by her parents.

• At the tender age of sixteen, she entered into matrimony and within three years, she embraced motherhood with the arrival of twin sons. Unfortunately, her marital bond unravelled, leading to a separation merely two years after exchanging vows. Undeterred, she took on the courageous task of raising her sons all on her own. Urvashi Dholakia now stands proudly alongside her sons.

• By portraying the character of ‘Komolika Basu’ in the TV show “Kasautii Zindagii Kay” on Star Plus, she achieved a tremendous level of fame.

• She emerged as the victor in 2012, triumphing over the competition in one of India’s most contentious shows – Bigg Boss season 6.

• After emerging as the winner of Bigg Boss-6, Urvashi Dholakia decided to step away from the entertainment industry for a period of two years. Her motivation behind this break was her desire to spend quality time with her teenage sons. During this hiatus, Urvashi was often seen in the company of her sons and mother.
