• Suchandra Dasgupta tragically lost her life on 20 May 2023 in a road accident. After completing her shooting schedule for a TV serial, she had chosen to ride a motorcycle that she had booked through a bike-sharing app to return home. While nearing the Ghosh Paraa area, an unexpected cyclist suddenly appeared in front of her motorcycle, causing the rider to lose control. Despite wearing a helmet, Suchandra fell onto the road. Tragically, within moments, she was struck by a truck and died instantly at the scene. [2] The Times of India reported that Suchandra Dasgupta was struck by the truck.
