During her time in the Bigg Boss 13 house in 2019, she developed a friendship with the actor and model Sidharth Shukla. Their bond grew stronger within the house, leading to speculations about their romantic involvement. Even after the show ended, they were frequently seen together. It was rumored that they were living together as a couple. Tragically, the actor passed away on September 2nd due to a heart attack. In the hours preceding his death, he had expressed discomfort. When he arrived home around 9:30 pm, his uneasiness continued. His mother and Shehnaaz were present, and they tried to alleviate his discomfort by offering him nimbu paani and later ice cream, but unfortunately, it didn’t help. Eventually, around 1:30 am, Sidharth fell asleep in Shehnaaz’s lap, and she slowly moved away. She also drifted off to sleep. When she woke up at 7 am, she noticed that Sidharth was still in the same position without any movement. Trying to wake him up, she received no response. Filled with panic, Shehnaaz rushed from the 12th floor to the 5th floor, where Sidharth’s family lived. She informed his sister, and together they contacted the family doctor. Sadly, upon arrival, the doctor confirmed that Sidharth had passed away.
The media reported that Shehnaaz and Shukla had planned to marry in December 2021 following the passing of Sidharth. It was revealed that they had secured the JW Mariott in Mumbai as their wedding venue. Additionally, they had also reserved an apartment in Mumbai for their future residence after their marriage.
