I have a deep passion for books. In fact, during my time in college and school, I was quite the geek. Surprisingly, I stumbled into the world of acting by chance. Over time, I have managed to develop a fashionable persona, but it’s worth mentioning that I initially relied on my dad’s shirts for my wardrobe. Even today, in my home in Delhi, I possess a greater number of books than clothes.”

My dad believed that excessive studying had negatively impacted my mental well-being. In order to pursue a solution, my parents proposed that I go abroad and pursue an MBA. Although my dad had the means to provide me with a private house and a car, I chose not to burden him with excessive financial demands when I moved to Mumbai. Instead, I opted to stay as a paying guest in Juhu, sharing a cramped space with four other girls. Each of us had a bed and a cabinet, but we would constantly argue over who would have priority in using the bathroom. I relied on packed meals, traveled in rickshaws, and occasionally walked to save money. I made a decision to give myself a year before considering a return.”

As a result, I would often request a customized dish, providing specific instructions on how it should be prepared. Eventually, other patrons at the restaurant started ordering the same dish, leading the owner to name it after me.
