Preparing for this film was an emotionally challenging journey for me. As a naturally happy and social person, embodying this character was a complete departure from my real-life persona. However, I recognized the importance of proving myself as an actor, so I embraced the difficult task of becoming Sunny. This transformation involved intense emotional pain. To fully immerse myself in Sunny’s mindset, I would place a chair in the center of the room and unleash all my anger and aggression onto it, treating it as if it were a person. With a rod in hand, I would strike the chair, hurl abusive words, and scream as if I were Sunny inflicting pain. Additionally, I would isolate myself for hours in my home, attempting to adopt Sunny’s body language, posture, and demeanor. The process left me utterly exhausted, as Sunny represents a person no one should aspire to be. Our film serves as a warning about individuals like him.
- During an interview, Rani Mukerji, his co-star in Mardaani 2, expressed
I believe the producers have likely adopted that strategy. His performance in the film is truly remarkable. His talent is bound to astonish many, as he has executed his role exceptionally well. I am confident that viewers will be eagerly curious to discover his identity once they witness his work.
